Team Building Ice Breakers

Styrofoam Tower
Break the participants into groups of 2-4 people and give each group 20 styrofoam cups. The group that builds the highest tower at the end of five minutes wins. Instead of using styrofoam you can give each group a stack of newspapers instead and have them try to build the tallest tower made out of newspapers.

We All Have This in Common
Divide the participants into groups of 3-5 people. The task of the group is to find 10 things that each member of the group has in common with each other. (A restriction you may want to put is that you're not allowed to list obvious or common human characteristics i.e. I drink water, I have teeth, or I am wearing socks.) After a predetermined time is up, each group will go around and share their list of common items to the rest of the participants.
